CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — It was a sad move that the US visa of Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa was canceled, however, the senator said he has nothing to lose over it.
The senator expressed his sentiments after attending the commemoration of the 121st anniversary of the First Philippine Republic on Thursday morning held at the historic Barasoain Church in this city where he was the guest speaker.
The granting of a US visa is just a privilege to non-Americans, Dela Rosa pointed out and said if they think he is not worthy to have that privilege then go ahead since he has nothing to lose.
Dela Rosa said he would not be able to visit his siblings and their children in the US with the revocation of his 10-year multiple entry visa.
“Hindi naman ako plastic. I’m sad. Pribilehiyo ‘yon na nawala,” the senator told reporters during an interview.
He said he would appeal the cancellation of his visa only if President Rodrigo Duterte accepts President Donald Trump’s invitation to visit America and asks him to join them in the trip.
He said that if he the President Duterte, he would accept the invitation of Trump because it would be better for the country to have more friends and we can go to China and go to America “na walang humahawak sa ating leeg.” (RONDA BALITA Online)
