Optic City doctor brings free vision care and eyeglasses to nearly 500 patients in need during SM Foundation’s Gamot Para Sa Kapwa Medical and Dental Mission at SM City Marilao.

MARILAO, Bulacan — Free medical, dental, diagnostic and vision care were freely given to 1,207 indigent patients during the recent SM Foundation’s Gamot Para Sa Kapwa Medical and Dental Mission at SM City here.

Beneficiary avails free oral screening, dental exam, and procedure during the Medical and Dental Mission at SM City Marilao.

This year, SM Foundation’s project and volunteer partners include Watsons, Department of Social Welfare and Development Office, Philippine National Red Cross-Bulacan Chapter, the Municipal Government and Municipal Health Offices of Marilao. Private medical and dental companies in SM City Marilao like The Primewell City Multi-Specialty Clinic and MyDentist joined to provide basic medical, dental care services and treatment. Optic City also offered free screenings, vision care as well as eyeglasses for nearly 500 patients in need.

Through the SM Foundation Mobile Clinic, patients were able to avail the free diagnostic and other laboratory examinations and services such as electro cardiograph (ECG), x-ray tests, and urinalysis.

Thousands of free medicines and other health supplements were likewise given during the event.

SM Foundation recently concluded its medical, dental mission in SM City San Jose Del Monte, which brought together a total of 100 volunteers to provide 1,360 health, dental services to indigent patients.

SM Center Pulilan will hold Gamot Para Sa Kapwa Medical and Dental Mission for the second time, hoping to attract more than 1,500 people on October 18.

The free medical and dental consultation are conducted at SM Malls around Bulacan to make it convenient and more accessible to the public.

SM Foundation’s Gamot Para Sa Kapwa Medical and Dental Mission is the socio-civic arm of the SM Group of Companies that aims to provide ancillary services to communities that have limited access to medical services. It also aims to provide immediate dental benefits to economically disadvantaged patients within the malls’ vicinities. (RONDA Balita Online News)
