CITY OF NALOLOS, Bulacan — A grand celebration of the 74th United Nation’s Day delighted Bulakeño kids as SM Malls in San Jose del Monte, Marilalo, Baliwag and Pulilan recently commemorate its anniversary through colorful costume contest.
Over a thousand kids in the province actively participated in the celebration and transformed SM Malls in Bulacan into a very colorful world as they dressed up in their favorite national and traditional costumes.
SM City San Jose del Monte’s Mall Manager Jose Mari Emmanuel H. Correa said that for the past three years, United Nation’s celebration has become one of the most participated events in the mall. “It is really uplifting to see parents supporting their children in this kind of celebration because aside from the bonding they had during the preparation, it also teaches kids and even reminds us adults the importance of respect despite differences in culture” he shares.
On the other hand, SM Center Pulilan’s Assistant Mall Manager Apple De Leon stressed that United Nations serves as a platform for kids to appreciate and find beauty in all the cultures that each of them will represent.
“We are happy that SM Supermalls has become a yearly venue for this meaningful celebration. And just like this year’s theme “a colorful world” we hope to impart onto the next generation the importance of appreciating all the colors, regardless of race and nationality” she added.
While United Nations Day was a grand and stylish celebration, a little spooky yet a fun celebration of Halloween will also delight shoppers as kids 12 years old and below are invited to register to join the ‘Halloween Trick or treat’ and costume contest on October 31 at SM Malls in Bulacan.
United Nations and Halloween are just two of the activities of SM Supermalls for the celebration of kid’s month. Kids and their families can also enjoy The SM Store’s Babies and Kids Fest plus the Halloween offerings of Toy Kingdom and SM Markets until October 31. (RONDA BALITA Online)
