MARILAO, Bulacan — SM City Marilao brought more holiday cheer and revelry to Bulacan with its first Sparkling Holiday Parade where some of the worlds’ beloved cartoon characters marched to the 93,909.84 square- meter stretch of the mall to usher in the most wonderful time of the year.
The Sparkling Holiday Parade is in partnership with Nickelodeon, and is the culminating activity of the mall’s Entertoyment Festival campaign, which brings fun and entertainment to kids of all ages.
Accompanied by big mixes of entertainment including hundreds of dancing contingents in stilts as well as LED lighted and larger-than-life-costumes; the parade transported shoppers to worlds of wonder.
Vignettes included Spongebob Squarepants in an under the sea showcase with life like jellyfish, seashells, corals and all things you would find living with Spongebob in the sea. Dora the Explorer, on the other hand, took shoppers to the enchanted Christmas Carol Garden with magical giant glowing butterflies, palm trees and brightly colored flowers accompanied by lighted garden fairies.
Paw Patrol also trooped down the mall to show shoppers that “no job is too big; no pup is too small” as 50 rescue dogs marched in Christmas costumes.
From their underground lair, streets of New York City to SM City Marilao, Nickelodeon’s Heroes in a Half-Shell took fans on a wild ride to the mall. The animated turtles gave fans a glimpse of their Christmas in the City, complemented by an array of lighting and special effects as well as acrobatic acts from ninja performers.
A sight to behold as Shimmer and Shine likewise took shoppers to the magical genie land of Zahramay Falls with tons of glitters, hanging beads as well as bright and iridescent colors.
