CAMP GEN. ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan — A top 10 most wanted person of the Bulacan Highway Patrol Team (HPT) and forty-nine other lawbreakers were arrested on the 4th day of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation or SACLEO conducted by Bulacan police.
P/Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan Provincial Director said that the most wanted carnapper was identified as Ronnie Fuentes of San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan.
Fuentes was nabbed in the vicinity of Bukandala IV, Pas-asa Subd, Imus, Cavite on Sunday (Sept. 20) at about 11:45 a.m. during a joint manhunt operation by the Bulacan HPT, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd PMFC) in coordination with Cavite PHPT by the virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of RA 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Act) issued by Hon. Caroline Soriano Rojas, Judge of RTC-Br 84 Malolos City, dated October 24, 2019.
The suspect was accused of a carnapping incident that transpired on December 19, 2017, at about 8:30 p.m. at Brgy. Pulong Buhangin, Sta. Maria, Bulacan, wherein he took the Kawasaki Barako with sidecar against victim Alfredo Alilam.
Likewise, four other wanted persons were arrested in different Manhunt operations of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG); Bulacan 2nd PMFC; Meycauayan, and Bocaue Police Stations. The accused are presently under the custody of the respective arresting units.
Meanwhile, in illegal drug operations, one of the suspects identified as Sherwin Cruz managed to escape after firing towards the operatives of Sta Maria police after the consummated drug deal in Brgy. Balasing, Sta. Maria, Bulacan on Sunday. However, two of his cohorts alias Nongnog and alias Ian were arrested. Seized were eleven heat-sealed plastic sachets of “shabu”; one improvised shotgun; four live ammunition for shotgun; one weighing scale; and one Toyota Hi-ace with plate number ABP 8258.
Similarly, two more drug personalities were arrested during a drug sting in the City of SJDM and Balagtas. Confiscated were eight heat-sealed plastic sachets of “shabu” and buy-bust money. The arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory for appropriate examination.
On the other hand, thirty-four were arrested in different anti-illegal gambling operations conducted by SJDM, Malolos, San Ildefonso, Bulakan, San Rafael, Bocaue, Obando Police Stations, and Bulacan 1st PMFC.
The suspects were arrested while caught in the act of playing illegal card games, cockfighting, pool and billiard. Confiscated were three sets of playing cards; 3 pool tables; one live cockfighting rooster; one dead cockfighting rooster; one gaff knife and a total of P5,350 cash bet money in a different denomination.
Further, seven other suspects were arrested in different crime incidents responded by the operatives of Plaridel, Malolos, Pulilan, Baliwag, Pandi, and Meycauayan PNP.
Appropriate criminal complaints against all the arrested suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.
