CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Police arrested four suspected ‘Bukas Kotse’ gang members including a police officer in San Ildefonso on Monday (April 12).
Bulacan Provincial Director Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe on Tuesday (April 13) identified the arrested suspects as Allen Alvarado of Quiricada St. Tondo; John Fizer Salvador of Brgy. 29, Tondo; P/Cpl. Mark Edison Quinton y Belvis, Police Officer assigned at Manila Police District and a resident of Brgy. 1185 Bongavilla St. Tondo; and Juvito Salvador y Suriaga, of Brgy. 29 Tondo.
Based on the report, the victim identified as Melquiades Silencio, an owner of a white Ford Ranger parked in Brgy. Cruz na Daan, San Rafael, Bulacan, witnessed one of the four suspects smashed the window of his vehicle.
The victim after reported the incident to San Rafael police immediately conducted pursuit and coordinated to adjacent PNP stations.
Suspects Alvarado and Salvador were arrested at the Quarantine Control Point located at Brgy. Garlang, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
The two suspects were on board a black Yamaha NMAX which serves as their getaway vehicle while two other suspects Crismelle Chico and Alias Saddam are still at large.
Recovered from their possession were one caliber 38 revolver loaded with two ammunition, one grenade, and three sachets of suspected shabu.
Relatedly, P/Cpl. Mark Edison Quinton and Juvito Salvador appeared at San Ildefonso police station and introduced themselves as police officers of Manila Police District (MPD) and they asked about their relatives who were allegedly arrested at the checkpoint of San Ildefonso MPS.
When they were asked for their IDs, the duo immediately fled on board a white Ford Everest bearing conduction sticker no. C1 MO79 going to San Miguel, Bulacan.
San Ildefonso police station immediately checked with the Bulacan Tactical Operation Center if there was any coordination by MPD. No coordination was recorded.
Immediately, San Ildefonso Police Station coordinated with San Miguel Police station and requested the Subject vehicle to be flagged and held. At the QCP, they discovered that aside from the suspects there were passengers who were Unauthorized Persons Outside Residence (UPOR).
Investigation revealed that suspects were looking for individuals who were involved in a Basag Kotse incident in San Rafael, Bulacan who were arrested the same day.
Allegedly, they are all members of the notorious Liber Paulino group, a basag kotse group operating in NCR, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Tarlac.
Violations of Sec.11, Art ll of RA 9165, RA 10591, RA 9516 against Allen Alvarado y Burgos, John Fixer Salvador y Gamboa, Crismelle Chico and alias Saddam while Usurpation of Authority and Violation of RA 11332 against PCpl Mark Edison Quinton y Belvis and Juvito Salvador y Suriaga are now being prepared for filing in court.
