ANGELES CITY — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office III (PDEA-3) seized a total of P3,400,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu from two big-time drug peddlers in an entrapment operation along McArthur Highway, Brgy. Ninoy Aquino (Marisol), in this city on Wednesday evening (April 21).
PDEA-3 Regional Director Christian O Frivaldo identified the suspects as
Yasser Ibrahim y Addatu, 25 years old, single, from Mindanao St. Jaoville Brgy. Pandan, Angeles City; and John Lagman y Viray, 45, married, from Sta. Maria Libutad, Mabalacat City.
Frivaldo said that the suspects had been on the PDEA’s radar since late February this year, and believed to be among the major suppliers of shabu in the city.
“Our agents secured a drug deal with the suspects for the sale of 500 grams of shabu and agreed to meet along Marisol road until they were collared by PDEA operatives,” Frivaldo added.
The sting operation yielded a resealable plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing MOL 500 grams with an estimated street value of Php 3,400,000.00; and the buy-bust money.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects. (RONDA BALITA Online)
